In 1970, 55 farms were assembled and purchased by State Mutual Life Assurance Company. By 1975, the utility infrastructure was in place, and the land was available for construction. Over the last 30 years, Pureland has grown to house 150 tenants in over 100 buildings totaling 15 million square feet of space. The tenant roster reads as a "Who's-Who" in the United States and international business.
